A 3-day safari in Kruger National Park is the ideal introduction to Africa's most iconic wilderness.
## Day 1: Arrival & Southern Kruger
**Route:** Johannesburg → Numbi/Phabeni Gate → Lower Sabie
Depart Johannesburg early for the 4-5 hour drive. Enter through Numbi or Phabeni Gate and begin your first game drive along the H4-1 towards Lower Sabie. Watch for elephant herds, hippo pods, lions and buffalo.
Settle into Lower Sabie Camp overlooking the Sabie River.
## Day 2: Full Day Game Drives
**Sunrise Drive (5:30 AM)** — Prime time for predator sightings
**Big 5 Hotspots:**
- **Lion:** Roads around Satara and S100
- **Leopard:** Along the Sabie River
- **Elephant:** Near water sources
- **Buffalo:** Southern plains
- **Rhino:** Southern section
**Midday Rest** — Return to camp 11 AM – 3 PM
**Afternoon Drive (3:00 PM)** — Head towards Mlondozi Dam
## Day 3: Northern Push & Departure

Head north towards Skukuza along the H4-1.
